This session will give an overview of the importance of a relational, family-centered, and strength-based approach in Early Childhood Systems including Early Intervention (EI). Current research about the importance of honoring family experience and strengths, and workforce supports related to relational, and family centered work will be shared, including Reflective Supervision/Reflective Supervision Consultation as a promising practice. Part of the session will highlight a 3-year project in RI led by RIAIMH, with collaboration from EI state systems and programs, aimed at building capacity in early relational health promotion, and the use of reflective supervision to support families and the workforce. The discussion will include input and reflections from current project participants.
