Maryann Lynch is a transformational leader in infant and early childhood mental health, bringing over 30 years of experience in research, workforce development, and organizational leadership. Since joining RIAIMH in 2018 as Endorsement Coordinator, she has been instrumental in evolving the organization from an all-volunteer workgroup into a robust, fully staffed entity. Her strategic vision and dedication have built the critical infrastructure, systems, and community partnerships that fuel RIAIMH's mission today.
As Administrative Manager and IECMH-Endorsement® Coordinator, Maryann champions a multi-sector workforce committed to supporting infants, young children, and families across Rhode Island. She leads operational management, infrastructure development, and the IECMH-Endorsement® credentialing process while advancing workforce development initiatives centered on diversity, equity, and access.
Prior to RIAIMH, Maryann spent 25+ years at the Bradley/Hasbro Children's Research Center, where she served as Senior Clinical Research Assistant, Project Coordinator, and Supervisor. Her research expertise spans early childhood development, family functioning, parent-child attachment, and evidence-based assessments including the Strange Situation, Mastery skills, Problem-Solving, Goodness of Fit, and home visiting practices. She coordinated research protocols for pregnant couples, young parents, and children from birth through age 9, contributing valuable insights to the field.
Maryann holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Rhode Island College and is endorsed as an Infant Family Specialist (IMH-Endorsement®). Her work reflects a deep commitment to strengthening the systems that nurture our youngest citizens and the families who care for them.
