Jessica Calle joined RIAIMH in 2023 as the Bilingual Infant/Early Childhood Mental Health Community Coordinator. In her role, Calle works to develop and implement services, like reflective supervision consultation, that support infant and early childhood mental health in the community. She represents RIAIMH in the community at partnership events, celebrations of community work, and gatherings that bring people together for change. In addition, she engages with the community by managing RIAIMH's social media presence, where she shares resources, uplifts the voices of families and professionals, and highlights the transformative work happening across Rhode Island. Calle also collaborates with other professionals to raise awareness of the importance of infant and early childhood mental health and to advocate for young children, families, and the workforce that supports them. Through these efforts, she helps strengthen the systems and relationships that promote healthy development during the critical early years.

In addition to her role at RIAIMH, she is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a facilitator of adolescent workshops for the RI Wellness Foundation, where she supports youth in developing resilience and wellness skills.

Prior to joining RIAIMH, Calle held roles for 12 years where she designed and facilitated professional development that focused on areas and topics within early childhood development, provided on-site mentoring and coaching to staff within early childhood programs (center-based and family childcare), worked as an assistant teacher in a center-based program, and administered environment rating scales to improve program and classroom quality. This hands-on experience across multiple settings gives her a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities within early childhood systems. She has a passion for working with young children and families, particularly those who are neurodivergent or have experienced trauma. Calle believes that healthy social-emotional and mental health is essential for lifelong well-being, and she is committed to creating communities that support and nurture young children, families, and the workforce who serve them.

Jessica is a member of the Rhode Island Association for Infant Mental Health, holds a Certificate of Graduate Studies (C.G.S.) in Child and Adolescent Trauma, and is Author-reliable in multiple environment rating scales. In addition, Calle holds the Infant Family Specialist with Endorsed Reflective Supervisor, IMH-E® endorsement, demonstrating her expertise in reflective practice and her commitment to the highest standards in the field.
