Session 4: The Changing Immigration Landscape:

What Care Teams Should Know

Tuesday, September 9, 2025

REGISTER

Description:  Immigration laws and policies rapidly change, especially when there are new presidential administrations in office. Care teams are often at the forefront of supporting families whose barriers to health are related to immigration rules. Members of Legal Key's legal team will present a session focused on substantive immigration rules and regulations that impact health and wellbeing of families with young children. We will focus on concrete steps that care teams can take to support their immigrant patients and provide resources for keeping up with future shifts in law and policy. The session will help care teams be able to identify trusted tools and resources and learn what they can and cannot do in their roles as providers. The format for the presentation will include a presentation of immigration law basics, a summary of recent changes, and an opportunity for the audience to ask the experts.

Guest speakers:

Jeannine Casselman, Esq., Law & Policy Director, Legal Key Partnership for Health and Justice

Sarah Yan, Esq., Law & Policy Consultant, Legal Key Partnership for Health and Justice
