Session #1
February 14, 2023
Reframing the Narrative:
Black Maternal Mental Health and Supports for Wellness
Description of our first Community Conversation Series session of 2023:
To reframe the narrative on Black maternal mental health, in this workshop we will center the voices and experiences of Black mothers, their strengths, supports, and solutions. A research poem will be shared to tell a story of the Black mothers’ experiences with their mental health and different supports across contexts. This experience will inspire critical self-reflection and action to enhance existing supports.
