Open Doors RI: Women and Children's House

Description: During this session, participants will hear from professionals in RI who support women and young children who have experienced homelessness, incarceration, and/or addiction. The session will highlight the Open Doors RI Women and Children’s House, its programs, services, and resources. The speakers will share their stories and highlight how lived experiences inform the work within the program. The speakers will share examples of how facing trauma and adverse experiences impacts families, and how supports given "keep babies in mind" and honor families, strength, communities, and culture. The discussion will include an opportunity for small group discussion and a questions and answer portion.
